I will never forget my first encounter with a Pitbull (also known as American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, and Staffordshire Bull Terrier.) It was long ago at a BBQ pool party. Here was this pit running around the pool - and I was trying to avoid it. I was all too familiar with the “mean biting dog” reputation. Later in the afternoon. Wilson, our fat ginger tabby cat, crossed the rainbow bridge on June 19, 2017. He was sixteen years old. The loss of Wilson was so severe; we decided we just could not go through another cat lifecycle. But, I just love having a furry something in the house, so we compromised. In May I got me a Hamster. Hammy. The inspiration for our newest t-shirt design. Hamster Power!

I was smiling. Good design, charming faces, and good color. I did think I would like to shift the color to Fall colors, but not for the first pass.
I got online and started applying the design to a variety of shirts and colors. Here is the result.

One of our favorite designs is the “yes” cat. The cat, so far, appears on two shirts; the “YES” shirt and the “FOOD” shirt. We have a "chocolate" shirt in the makings. The story behind that cute cat is a particular pose of my cat, Wilson Bones Mallette, on the sofa. He looks calm in this photo, but all I need to do is rattle a bag of treats, and his face instantly resembles our yes cat illustration.
